All About You

Program Coordinator – Advising and Student Services is the primary point of contact for students in our graduate business programs. This
role provides critical customer service to our students from admission through graduation. This role manages all student communications,
building strong relationships and providing sound academic advising. The coordinator monitors academic performance, proactively responds to
schedule changes, and ensures students are appropriately progressing toward degree completion. This role would also manage processes
critical to program delivery including managing curricular changes, coordinating schedules, classrooms, parts of term, etc. This
coordinator serves a critical role in student retention.

Job Duties 

  • Serves as the
    academic advisor to graduate business students. 

  • Advises students on course selections, petitions, waivers, transfer
    credits and provides support during the registration process.

  • Responds to student questions within one business day to
    ensure quality service for student retention.

  • Runs regular reports and posts grades to each student’s program of study
    each semester; handles probation and transfer process.

  • Provides communication and multiple follow ups to graduating
    students to ensure all requirements have been met and they have applied to graduate; Collects and verifies accuracy of all student
    information related to degree conferral.

  • Provides support in planning and execution of commencement ceremonies.

  • Programs and Schedules: Works each semester to solidify course offerings, build schedules, manage Courseleaf updates to courses and
    parts of term. Helps plan and implement curricular revisions internal to the School of Business.

  • Tracks and communicates
    with faculty regarding syllabi, grade submission, Blackboard deployment.

  • Coordinates with faculty and/or Director
    regarding scheduling and classroom needs.

  • Manages all Professional Effectiveness courses offered in the Professional MBA

  • Data systems management: Ensure system integration related to Collegenet, Banner, Courseleaf and troubleshoots
    system issues.

  • Scholarship Processing: Regularly tracks student scholarship balances, runs and prepares reports for
    Student Financial Services.

  • Assists with external data requests.

  • Maintains regular communication with
    current students regarding registration, tuition, deferred payment, student health insurance, immunizations, holds, scholarships, and

  • Maintains graduate programs Blackboard site with up to date student resources, schedules and information.

  • Administers daily operation of student affairs functions for graduate business programs including on-boarding for all newly
    enrolled graduate students (3 intakes/yr), scholarship eligibility, policy administration (handles all petitions and student requests).

  • Helps plan and execute student events.

  • Participates in review of complete applications. Participates in
    course waiver decisions.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge of college registration policies and procedures

  • Knowledge of student
    personnel administration and best advising practices 

  • Knowledge of graduate business programs (MBA and specialized

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and timeliness in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to relate/interact with diverse student populations, institutional personnel, and the public

  • Ability to
    maintain confidentiality

  • Ability to adapt to work environment changes, and relate to diverse population

  • Ability to organize time, projects, and details

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to interpret instructions and share with others

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree preferred; supplemented with one to
three (3) years of related work experience.
