Position Summary

The Division
of Applied Undergraduate Studies at the School of Professional Studies is seeking an individual to advise students on academic programs,
policies and procedures and provide career counseling. This individual will interpret University and school policies and recommend
exceptions to policy when appropriate. They will also serve as an advisor to the DAUS student


Required Education:

Preferred Education:
Master’s Degree in Student Personnel Administration or similar

Required Experience:
2+ years relevant experience in student advising or an equivalent combination of
education and experience.

Preferred Experience:
Experience advising students at the college or university level.
Experience advising adult undergraduate students and transfer students.

Required Skills, Knowledge and

Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written skills. Ability to advise and provide
solutions to problems. Ability to supervise staff. Proficiency using computer software such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel and social media

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent customer service skills. Proficiency and/or
familiarity with Peoplesoft software. Knowledge of student develolpment and career development theories.
